Transit Rules
These transit rules govern the acceptance, handling and delivery of consignments through Galaxy Freight Carriers' network. Please read carefully before booking.
Rule 1: Acceptable Goods
General merchandise, industrial goods, construction materials, FMCG products, automotive parts, machinery (with prior arrangement), textiles, electronics in original packaging.
Rule 2: Prohibited Items
Currency & coins, jewellery & precious metals, hazardous chemicals, explosives, firearms & ammunition, live animals, human remains, illegal/contraband goods.
Rule 3: Packaging Standards
All consignments must be properly packed to withstand normal transit conditions. Galaxy Freight Carriers is not responsible for damage due to inadequate packaging.
Rule 4: Documentation Required
Commercial invoice / packing list, E-way bill (for GST-applicable consignments above ₹50,000), Delivery challan, Any special permits for restricted goods.
Rule 5: Weight & Dimensions
Declared weight and dimensions must match actual measurements. Incorrect declarations may result in additional charges or refusal of consignment.
Rule 6: Perishable Goods
Perishable items are accepted only with special arrangement and prior written agreement. Additional charges apply for temperature-controlled transport.
Rule 7: High-Value Goods
Goods valued above ₹1 lakh must be specifically declared. Enhanced transit insurance is mandatory for high-value consignments.
Rule 8: Delivery Attempts
Delivery will be attempted twice at the consignee address. Undelivered consignments will be held at our nearest branch for 7 days before being returned.
